Well, that title makes it sound like they’re no longer around – far from it in fact. For years, before I left the UK to spend more time in Spain, I used to use the company OKW for small project cases. I just happened to be bored last week waiting for parts for my latest fad – presence detectors – and noticed that OKW do some really neat cases called the MINI-DATA-BOX series. So, I got onto them and asked if they had any cases suitable for small sensors and they kindly sent me 4 of them to play with.
The company describe themselves as “enclosure specialists” and here’s a link where you can select boxes by protection class, material and size (in English at least in the link I’ve included above).. takes all the work out of picking an enclosure – that just leaves photos and they have plenty of those. OKW are based at 15 Brunel Way, Segensworth East Fareham, PO15 5TX, UK.
Here’s a photo of the enclosures they set me… I’m waiting for an LD2410 presence sensor to arrive but I think I can squeeze that and an ESP32-S3 mini into the smallest of the four.. I’ll come back to this when I get back to Spain. There’s nothing worse than a useful project in an amateur-night-out case. These are far from amateur-looking and look very neat and feel solid.
